A wooden terrestrial globe printed on paper adopted in 1838 by the French Royal Council of Public Education as is indicated by the words: Globe adopté par le Conseil Royal de l'instruction publique. Par Delamarche Ingénieur géographe: Rue du Jardinet 12, Paris, 1838. Charles François Delamarche (1740-1817) was one of France's most important cartographers, but he also produced cheap models for the French schools, as is the one represented here. It is in a poor state of conservation.
